Course info
This is a nationally and internationally recognised award satisfying the requirements of the MITC Modern Apprenticeship frameworks for a Technical Certificate. Available at 3 levels, students can undertake the first 2 levels on a full time basis with direct progression from each level. Level 1 is for those with no prior knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Industry who wish to develop knowledge and practical skills. You can then progress to level 2 in the second semester or consider employment or other courses.Subjects studied in this course include: - Removal and Replacement of Components- Servicing and Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles- Fault Diagnosis- Auto Electrical Fitting- Maintenance and Vehicle Body Repair / Preparation.In addition to these subjects, students can also study bench fitting skills and welding plus core skills units such as information technology, numeracy and communications.After completing this course, students can progress onto HNC Automotive Engineering or employment in a wide variety of motor trade occupations and in road transport.
