Course info
This course includes a broad range of useful topics for progression to a modern apprenticeship, or for those that are employed, looking for a vocational qualification. The subjects studied in this course include:- Joining Materials by Thermal Methods- Machining Methods- Using Hand Tools- Improving Working Practices- Oxy-Acetylene Welding Practice- Basic Welding (Mig/Mags)- Tungsten Arc Ferrous/Non-Ferrous- Design and Make.Students can progress onto a modern apprenticeship, or go into employment in welding and fabrication.

Entry Requirements
The entry requirements are Standard Grade passes or equivalent groups of modules, units or courses at Intermediate 1. Adult applicants will be considered on the basis of previous experience and/or learning.
