The Professional Doctorate is a modular programme which offers senior managers, clinicians and scientists an exciting and challenging alternative to the traditional PhD. It has been designed to complement the current policy drive towards developing expert practitioners in Health & Social Care to facilitate the development of researchers in practice. Stage 1 - Years 1 & 2 structured around three macro-modules: Research Methods Professional Development Project Development, Design & Management Stage 2 - This will comprise of an original piece of work based supervised research undertaken over 27 months.
