When does the course begin?
In order to be eligible for the full time waged option, in general, candidates must be over a 6 months unemployed if 25 years plus. We would prefer that they have a good technical grasp before entering the programme. Trainees are employed under a Networks (a former Glasgow Works project) for a maximum of *39 weeks and will attend the programme daily, working from 9am - 5pm. They may leave the programme at any time to find suitable employment and will be paid a gross weekly wage of £187:25. * Length of contract offered is depended on type of course applied for: CCNA - 39 week contractMCDST - 26 week contractPNIE - 18 week contractCompTIA A+ - 26 week contractMOS 26 week contractThe full time option is also available for candidates eligible through the New Deal streamlining route (18-24 years old and 6 months unemployed). This option is offered under FTET, which will not be waged.

Basic exposure to a Microsoft Windows operating system such as Microsoft Windows XP, a Microsoft Office suite such as Microsoft Office XP, and Internet Explorer is preferred but not essential.
