In this course students will be able to apply basic management principles to health and safety issues; set achievable health and safety objectives and develop a plan to achieve them; recognise health and safety hazards; carry out risk assessments of workplace hazards and recommend suitable controls; take account of risks arising from ergonomic factors; ensure that adequate information, training and supervision is provided to employees and investigate an accident or incident involving injury or damage to determine the cause and take appropriate actions.
