Course info
This programme emphasises the interdisciplinary nature of American studies while allowing you to pursue coursework and research within cognate disciplines. A core course introduces the field of American studies and you choose two courses taught by staff in the constituent fields of American studies, including archaeology, history of art, English literature, history, philosophy and theatre, film & television studies. You may apply to spend one semester taking courses at the University of Oklahoma, as part of an American studies exchange programme.

How much will it cost?
For EU/Home students 2007 entry fees were £3,600 (full-time) and £1,800 (part-time) per annum. Fees are subject to change.

Assessment method
Assessed by a combination of seminar presentations and essays. Dissertation - 15,000 words.

Entry Requirements
A 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent Qualification (eg GPA of 3.0 or above) in a relevant subject.
